The Picnic Point Public School Parents & Citizens (P & C) is a vital link between the school and the broader community.
The association supports the students by raising much needed additional funds, and provides the school with a wide range of equipment and resources annually. The P&C also offers the school indispensable assistance and advice throughout the year.
The P&C is supported by an executive committee, and three main subcommittees; canteen, uniform and fundraising.
Recent news
Here's just some of the things our P & C team has been involved with recently:
- Funding to assist with the installation of the new playground equipment
- Newly painted Basketball court and cricket nets
- Funding to assist with the extension and refurbishment of the library
- Obtained government funding to install air conditioning in the hall
- Sought government intervention to install flashing lights in Prince St to assist with the safety of our students
- Sought the government to repaint the 40km signage on our local roads
- Funding to assist with the purchase of certificates and awards for the annual school presentation day.
Phew! Our committee are always looking for parents who can spare a little time whether it be at the meetings held once a month, in the uniform shop, the canteen, helping on the BBQ's or with the fundraising from time to time.
